Cheryl's Story
Twenty six years, how crazy is that? How do you sum up tweny six years in a few paragraphs? I'll try to make this quick!
First I married Gary in 1990. He's funny and a hard worker and has made a nice life for us. He owns his own trucking company. He recently bought a lime green semi which is fashioned after the Riddler from Batman. He's quite the spectacle. Doesn't draw any attention to himself from the highway patrol either! Ok, so he's funny and strange!
We don't have any children but we do have a very sweet Golden Retriever named Chloe who is annoying the hell out of me right now to throw the ball AGAIN.
I started working for the City in high school and I still hold that summer job today. It's been 27 years. After being caught in the middle of some political shuffling I've done the tour of departments and have now ended up in the Service Department with some other Solon graduates. It's a zoo at times but it's really fun and I wouldn't chose to be anywhere else at this point than the "city of assisted living" as Solon workers like to refer to it now.
I live in Twinsburg now, just over the border. I like it, it's good but I could move tomorrow.
Still like to party like a crazy girl, just can't do it as often or even as well.
Lost my dad last year to cancer. That whole thing just sucked. I miss him like crazy. It's had a profound affect on me, nothing is the same anymore.
Looking forward to retiring in three years. Can't wait to do something different. Anyone hiring?
I went through some old boxes a few weeks ago in prepartation for a garage sale (now how fun is that!!).
Found a lot of old pictures of some of you. That took about two hours out of my day looking and laughing and trying to remember some of it.
