Cheryl's Story
After graduation in 1965, I moved to Minnesota for a year, then came back to Oregon and went to work for Ma Bell in the Engineering dept. I worked there for 3 years, then went to Guam for a year as a field secretary for the NWREL.
I got married in 1970 to a Marine and traveled around the country and had 3 daughters. Was divorced after 25 years of marriage and have not remarried. I currently have 6 grandchildren--3 boys and 3 girls.
I was on a United Airline plane in October 1970 that was hijacked to Cuba. I was flying from San Diego to Portland (via Tijuana, Havana, Miami and LA). It was a very long flight to say the least.

s much time for the hobbies with 6 grand kids, but I like the kids better anyway).
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong..
A person's children don't always turn out the way you imagine, sometimes they turn out better after a few bumps in the road. Now it is time for the next generation to make their own mistakes and learn from them. My grandkids are 16, 14, 12, 4, 3 and 2 months
My current age is 63. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old. I was so completely wrong.
My first job was at a florist shop, where I got paid minimum wage to send out bills.. What I remember most about it is It was Mother's Day and we were REALLY busy..
