Cheryl Rogers:  

Life When I left high school I attended JJC for a while and then transferred to the University of Iowa. While at Iowa I coached swimming and diving and was a cheerleader for the Hawkeyes! I lived in the Pi Beta Phi Sorority house off campus and was majoring in P.E. I then transferred to Brigham Young University in Utah where I completed a B.A. English. In 2002 I completed an M.A English in Early British Literature. I worked at Salt Lake Community College as Adjunct Professor of Humanities and I am now working for Utah Valley University as a Concurrent College Writing teacher and teaching AP English Language and Composition,and British Literature at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah (outside of Salt Lake City for 11 years now). It is a growing community and we currently have 2000 students with many students from California. I love working with students. (I previously taught at Brigham Young University as a grad student teaching First year Comp. courses). Most of my students are Seniors and I have several sections of Juniors. My children are all grown--two of them married.
