Chip's Story
Life
My Spouse, Teri...She's beautiful inside and out, married in '79 and she got my nose to the grindstone (I'm not sure if that's good or not...for me) Teri's 10 yrs younger than I. (I needed someone to keep up with me.)
---------------------------------------
My Kids, two girls.
They're pretty, smart and athletic. Brooke graduated from UGA in '03 and Lauren grad. from ASU in '05.
********UPDATE*********
Well Brooke Grayson is now Brooke Grayson Denhard. She and David were married in July '06. Brooke celebrated her 28th birthday Dec. 1, '08. Lauren Grayson was married on May 19th '07. She is now Lauren Grayson Klein, wife of (boy that's hard to say of my baby) Josh Klein. Lauren was 26 in Feb. of '09. Both families will continue to live in Savannah...YEA! That pretty well cleans out the nest. I know that they are and will continue to be very happy.
********UPDATE*********
Daughter Lauren had our first grandbaby, Chip, Oct. 26, 2010...daughter Brooke had Mary Grayson Jan. 17th, 2011. Now Brooke is expecting another baby girl in November 2012 (currently nameless, as I'm posting this in May of 2012). Both families live in the same community as Teri and I do, near Savannah, GA. Life is good!
********UPDATE********
2016 - Family now complete. Brooke has two daughters, Mary Grayson 5 and Emmeline 3. Lauren has two boys, Chip 5 and John 2. Teri and I do quite a bit of babysitting, now-a-days.
--------------------------------------
We live in Savannah, GA on Skidaway Island (The Landings). The community has 6 golf courses, 40+ tennis courts, 2 marinas, a fitness center and 4 clubhouses...so we have plenty to do. I still enjoy work, but I only work about 20 hrs. per week now... I'll never completely retire. I also still enjoy lifting weights, which I do religiously 3x per week, and I compete in master's power lifting events. I fish often, Savannah is blessed with great fishing. Boating and downing a cold one on the beach is still a must. Y'all come! Chip

College
I graduated from The University of Georgia in '70.

Workplace
I am the president of SBF. I began that co. in '75. I work about 15 to 20 hrs....Expand for more
per week now. I take Wed. off for the golf blitz and Fridays for the boat (fishing or just downing a cold one) or the beach. There are several fairly isolated barrier islands accessible by boat that are great places to relax. Oh yeah, we were talking work...I get to the office at about 11AM and stay until 5ish on Mon, Tues and Thurs. I don't love to work, but I don't like not working either, so...I've worked out this compromise; however, I'm sure that my staff, and, in particular, my assistants would rather I stay at home.

NEW VENTURE
My latest (and last) venture, if y'all might be interested, can be seen on coastalsolutionsinc.com website. OK maybe I should retire, but just this one last bit of "fun." (My 15 hours of work/fun are now 60 hours per week.)These products are pretty cool, the Jellyfish Squish really stops the pain of jellyfish stings within a couple of minutes...the others work on fire ants and chiggers (red bugs), etc. This wasn't meant as a commercial, but I did think that ya'll might like it. We sure as heck have gotten a bunch of press.
Also, I sold my business, SBF, May of "07...upon further review, I bought it back January "09...belongs to my wife, now.
********UPDATE********
2016 - Sold both businesses and retired in '12. I'm now an official babysitter, golf, fishing, beaching, boating kind a guy. Tough life, but I'm trying to cope...Lol

Military
The fear of going to Viet Nam served as a hell of a motivator, so I actually got fair grades in college, and as a result, NO MILITARY!!!!

Quick update: So, recently I was humbled to receive the Oasis Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sports in Savannah. This was the crowning jewel for recognitions I've been so blessed to receive....Induction into the Softball Hall of Fame, the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame and being selected by the Savannah Morning News as one of their Athletes of the Millennium. Thank the good Lord for allowing me to play sports with such outstanding athletes during my days of competition, which makes the path so much easier...and fun!
