Chris's Story

Life Well, if you've gotten this far then I guess you are curious, so here's my life until now :) I lived in Southington from 1975-1987 and attended West Ridge(now Urban T. Kelley) Elementary School, Kennedy Junior High School, and Southington High School--leaving after my Sophomore year in 1987. I attended Rockville High School my last 2 years from 1987-1989. After HS graduation went to business school in Hartford and achieved my certification in Travel & Tourism graduating in 1993. I started working in Hartford as a corporate travel agent in 1993, but left in 1994 to take an auditor's position at the Quality Inn in Vernon--a move that would start my career in hotel management. Since then I have worked on hotel management teams over the years in Hartford, Delray Beach, FL, and Amherst and Worcester, MA, before briefly returning to the Vernon Quality Inn as General Manager in 2003. in 2005, I accepted the position of Director of Revenue Management for the Newport Beachside Resort in Miami Beach, FL. Spent 3 years there before accepting the same position in a larger hotel, the Hilton University Place in Charlotte, NC, in March of 2008. In January 2001, I had a chance run-in with an old friend, Keri Tommasi(Rockville Class of 1994), who I hadn't seen in several years. One thing led to another and on October 9, 2004, we were married at St. Bernard's Chruch in Rockville. We have two sons, Lucas Robert, born 6-16-05, and Patrick James born 10-25-07. We currently reside in Charlotte, NC. Besides my family, my current loves are flying(I hold a private pilot's license), baseball(I play in a men's fast pitch baseball league on Sundays), and hockey(we are Charlotte Checkers season ticket holders) Would love to hear from any old friends from Rockville or Southington.
