So much has happened in my adult life that I really need to write a book to cover it all! Can't seem to stop long enough to write... =) My life has been full of many twists and turns, along with bumps in the road, yet I keep on going. Much like my mom, who passed away at almost 103 years old!! She was my inspiration! Like her, no matter what I've been dealt in life... I won't give up! I've kept on going... reaching out to others... looking for the bright side... believing for a better tomorrow!! Below, I listed SOME of the happenings in my life since high school. There's no way I could include everything!! Hope this doesn't look too much like a resume. Just thought it would be a little easier to follow where I've been.... since 1965!! 8/1965 Attended WVU (2 years) 8/1967 Married Jim Reep (Bob Reep's brother, Irma Reep's son) Jim was a WV State Park Superintendent (BS Forestry - WVU) 8/1968 Moved to Watoga State Park 3/1969 Moved to Cass (Cass Scenic RR State Park) Two children: Janel & Willis 5/1977 Jim died of a heart attack at 35 years old I was 29 years old My children were 5 & 9 years old 8/1977 Moved from Cass to Bridgeport Started nursing school at Fairmont State College 7/1978 Married Brice DeVault (Originally from Grafton) Brice was a postmaster 5/1979 Moved to Moorefield, WV (lived there 26 years) Was blessed to be a home maker most of those years Volunteered in the schools & was an EMT Was very involved in the church, especially on the worship team One son with Brice: Nathan 5/1992 Completed BS in Psychology (Liberty University) Substitute taught for 4 years 2/1995 Brice was diagnosed with cancer (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma) 8/1999 Brice had a successful stem cell transplant (Johns Hopkins) 8/2000 School Counselor at Moorefield Middle School (5 yrs) 5/2004 Completed MS Ed School Counseling (Frostburg State University) 8/2005 Moved from Moorefield to Martinsburg, WV High School counselor at Musselman HS (4 yrs) Brice in renal failure, began dialysis 6/2007 Donated one of my kidneys to Brice (June) 12/2007 Brice died, unexpectedly, of pneumonia (6 mo after kidney transplant) 8/2009 Worked with pregnant teens & teen moms (Berkeley Co. Schools) 7/2010 Retired to spend more time with my, then, 98 yo mother Hired as part-time Counselor/Social Worker under 3 yr grant (North Middle School) 5/2013 3 yr grant workin...Expand for more
