Chris's Story
Life
So where have I been lately? Some people may wonder where I went after 1993. Well, in my sophomore year of high school, I enrolled in a program called Running Start, which allowed me to leave high school early and attend Edmonds Community College. Thanks to this program, during the last two years of high school I earned over 100 college credits. I also had the pleasure of not having to show up at North Kitsap High School every day from 1993-1995.
I took some time off from school to help manage a family business, was married in 1997 and moved to Boulder, Colorado shortly thereafter. I worked full-time while my wife attended the University of Colorado, but I never quite found a job that I enjoyed fully. llege in Denver. In a move that baffled friends and family, we relocated to western Wisconsin in fall of 2002 to be near my wifeÂ's sister and her children. Of course shortly after we moved here, the Âsister and children moved back to Seattle, leaving us all alone in the middle of the country. Nice!
I now work for a company called MoneyGram International in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I am an IT infrastructure manager. I am also currently enrolled at University of Phoenix Online, where I am working on my MBA degree. I drive a sports car because I am in denial that I now have a family. I have been married happily for 11 years now. Eventually, we may end up moving back to the Northwest, but we have no immediate plans. My career is looking good at the moment, so I have no need to make any large moves yet.
