Chris's Story
Life
In the fall of 1977, I moved to Pleasantville up in Westchester county. After graduating, I went to Pace University for a B.S. (Computer Science/math) and an MBA (Statistics & Operations Research). After finishing those in early 1982, I moved to Las Cruces, NM to get a Ph.D. in Computer Science at New Mexico State University.
Upon graduation from there in the spring of 1988, I moved to Issaquah, WA (just east of Seattle) and went to work for Boeing at their software R&D...Expand for more
lab. During my 12 years there I worked on Virtual Reality systems, wearable computers, speech interfaces, and wireless applications for handheld devices. I recently left there in March 2000 to go work at a telecommunications startup called Terabeam Networks.
In 1992 I married Winona Waite, who I met in NM. She brought a daughter (Dawn, now 19) and a son (Dale, now 24 with a wife and 2 sons of his own) to the marriage. My hobbies are cross-country ski racing and raising cats.
