Chris's Story

Life After High School I enlisted in the Army and spent a few years at Ft Hood TX. as an Helicopter Weapons System repairman. During this time I married the person I was dating in High School instead of waiting and maybe being with the person that was a great friend at the time. Anyway, the marriage was a train wreck and only lasted 18 months. Later I married again and moved to Germany with a new unit and then to Desert Storm. by this time who was 4 years old. Got involved in a new Helicopter the Army was buying and spent the next three years between Virginia and Phoenix AZ developing training for the Longbow Apache Attack Helicopter. In 1997 I got selected as a candicate for Warrant Officer's candidate school. The most miserable seven weeks of my life. After graduating as an Army Aviation Maintenance Officer I was sent to Korea for a year from 1997 - 1998. After Korea I was stationed at Fort Carson, after being stateside for a short six months my unit deployed to Bosnia for seven months. (more later)
