Chris's Story

Life My life bio? Holy Moly, I'm about as boring as watching paint dry. My husband, Mike, and I just celebrated 16 years of marriage the day before Christmas (as my dad puts it, I've either screwed myself out of an anniversary or Christmas present for the rest of my life). We met at the JTSU at UNR in the arcade (is anyone surprised..I mean really) in my first semester at UNR. We lived in Europe for a few years and came back to Reno to live (home means Nevada, home means the hills...) We have 2 totally wonderful children who besides being really good kids are wicked funny (and may possibly be insane). Kiernan is 9 and Lexy is 3. Just far apart that they get along. He finds her funny and she thinks the sun rises and sets on him. I've been working at UNR for the past 8 1/2 years and still really like my job. Imagine that. been dancing for 12 years and the group I dance with (google Asha Belly Dancers in Reno--can't post the URL ya know) are celebrating 11 years together. I teach beginning and intermediate/advanced classes at TMCC. It starts with taking one class where you stand in the back row in your sweats and baggy shirt to taking another semester and moving up closer to the front. Then comes the buying one hip scarf, then a veil, then making a costume...it just snowballs from there. Next thing you know, people ask you who your favorite group is and you're trying to choose from Harry Saroyan, Corvus Corax, Amr Diab or Solace. I had this huge list of things I was going to do by the time 20 years rolled by but find now that my priorities have completely changed. Now my list if full of things I never thought I'd find myself doing. I think that's much better. I may boycott the reunion this year. It's going to depend on what my mood ring tells me. So wuzzup?
