Chris's Story
Life
After graduation, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. I spent six and a half years in the Active Reserves. I had an approximate six month stint in 1990 and 1991 when I served with the 1st Battalion Eighth Marines in the Persian Gulf War.
Nine months after leaving the military, I went to work for the City of Kansas City, Missouri with KCI Airport Police Department. At the time, I was engaged to my best friend Michelle Carter. We were married in May of 1996. I spent eight and a half years with the Airport Police attaining the rank of sergeant. Along the way, I had three children; Riley, Chase, and Peyton. o return to school. Riley is seven, Chase is three, and Peyton is one now. As of this correspondence, I have been married going on nine and a half years. Although we've gone through some trying times, Michelle and I are very close and share a tremendous relationship with our three children.
Since becoming an EMT in 1997, I have been interested in the medical field. I am finishing up an Associate of Science with the intention of entering the Respiratory Therapy Profession. I am planning on becoming a Respiratory Therapist. I will then go on to medical school from there. My ultimate goal is to be a Pulmonologist. I am very excited about achieving my goals and share the full support of family and friends as I work towards them.
