my story so far.... after graduating I moved to Orlando Florida when I was 19 to join my boyfriend (at the time) now my husband Mark Beard who had already previously moved down to Orlando. Mark is from Fondy also and a 1978 graduate from Goodrich High. We lived in Florida for 22 years. After living in Orlando for 12 years we bought an acre of land in the country out side of Orlando. from our property it was only a 35 mile drive to Cocoa beach. We bought a custom manufactured home and had it put on our property. We lived there until we moved to Tennessee 3 years ago. well we wanted a change. The traffic in Orlando was really getting out of hand. And we were getting tired of the heat and humitity in the summer. you never really get used to the humidity down there. and the last but not the least deciding factor for our move were the huricans. In 2004 we went thru 3 of them Charlie,Francis, and Jean. Our house faired well all the damage we had was a big tree that came down in our back yard and took our power lines down. But 3 of our neighbors down the road from us had half of their roofs tore off. but even despite all that we still had fun living in florida especialy the first 10 years that we lived there.
