Life
I attended FAHS 1972-1973. Like many military brats, I never saw any of my classmates after graduation. So memories of Frankfurt have a dream-like quality. They are clear but disconnected from the rest of daily life. I only recently found this site, and I'm hoping it might lead to some reconnections. d I am an assistant dean at Indiana University, where I also teach literature on a part-time basis. When I think about my time in Germany, I remember that the young people of my generation were often committed to various causes and to art. I played guitar with a lot of folks whose names I never knew. And it seemed political and cultural debates were everywhere. I expect those energies still shape many of our lives and contribute to who we are. At least I hope so.
