Chris's Story
Life
Lets see, where to begin.....After leaving BHS, I went into the army, married the following fall, had three children (all grown up now), got out of the army, worked, worked, and worked some more, then divorced and moved to Ohio. I stayed there for about 5 yrs, and now I am in NC.
I have three wonderful grandchildren, one of which I miss DEARLY!(if you happen to see this somehow, HI RACHEL!!!) I have 3 children, and I have been back in touch with them over the past year and it has made a huge difference in my life. My son-in-law recently returned from Iraq, and my son is due to be deployed in the future.
I seriously doubt that I will ever return to Michigan. I have to say, NC is a beautiful state. I do miss northen Mich. in the summers though. I always enjoyed watching the lights "pop" on across the Mackinaw Bridge, or watching freighters pass below it. I am just freelancinglife 03 on the big y'hoo for anyone looking for me. I am not a gold memeber here right now so I can't access mail sent to me here.
Workplace
I have had a few different jobs since leaving Berkley. I got out of the army in 78, and returned to the area. I stayed there until 99 when I divorc...Expand for more
ed. During that 21 years, the 3 jobs I had, I did enjoy doing. Each of them was different than the one before it. But, if I were a little wiser, I would have stayed in the service.
Like people say, "If I knew then, what I know now!"
Military
That had to be the fastest three years of my life. If I would have had any brains at all, I would have stayed in!
I met a lot of good people while there. I recently got in touch with one of them through "Classmates". I lost contact with him in 78, and finally found out where he ended up.
=====UPDATE TIME=====
My son is now in Iraq. He is due home around Christmas of '08, along with my son-in-law who went active duty and returned to Iraq. Both in the same division based at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
As for me, nothing much new. I have recently bought a home in S.C., just below the N.C. state line. If you are trying to reach me, re-read the third paragraph. I don't check email often, but I do check it.
And another UPDATE!
My son, and son-in-law have both returned from recent tours in Iraq. Thankfully, they both made it home safe and sound. Looks like they may both be a couple of "lifers"! Not like there are any decent jobs on the outside.
