Chris's Story
After high school, I spent a year at Armstrong State College in Savannah on a soccer scholarship. Not being mature enough to handle living and going to school on my own :o(, I ended up in the U.S. Air Force as a medic, stationed at Moody AFB near Valdosta in South Georgia (1986-1990). I also worked part time at the Pizza Hut in Nashville, GA (1988-1990). After the Air Force, I returned home and started school at Georgia State University (1991) (where I would meet the person who would later become my wife, Rhian in 1992) and began a 13 year career of managing, first at the Pizza Hut on Rainbow Drive near SWD, also in 1991. I would later manage the Pizza Hut in Lithonia (1991-1995) and eventually Pizza Hut on Redan Rd. in Stone Mountain (1995-1997). I would also begin my wonderful marriage in 1995 and move to Stone Mountain. I would leave Pizza Hut in 1997 and go on to the greener pastures of Papa Johns, managing the Deshon Road store in Stone Mountain, the Honey Creek store in Conyers, and finally the Ellenwood store in 1998, where I would spend the next 5 years. In 2003, having yet to finish college, I left Papa Johns, became an insurance agent (better hours), moved to Stockbridge in North Henry County, and returned to school at Devry University in Decatur. I would graduate with honors with a degree in Business Information Systems in June of 2005. Around this time, I left the corporate world to be a work-from-home Dad.
As of April 2008, I am still living in Stockbridge, Georgia and have been married to a beautiful woman from Trinidad named Rhian Patrick for over 12 1/2 years. We ha...Expand for more
ve a son Christian, who turned 3 on March 10th, and a 9 month old daughter named Reagan, who was born on the luckiest day of the century 7-7-7. Christian and Reagan are both by far the best thing that has happened to me and us. I am still a self-employed, stay-at-home dad. I do image restoration, colorization, and some graphic design. Check me out at sharperpics(dot)com. Rhian is currently a National Human Resources Director with McKesson Pharmaceutical. Being a stay-at-home dad has been a very rewarding experience to say the least. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home and be a big part of my son and daughter's life. Christian is a beautiful child. He is very patient, smart, athletic, outgoing, and I am happy to say, an awesome soccer player! He just finished playing Under 3 in Henry County, and will start Under 4 this summer. :o). Reagan is equally beautiful as well. She smiles all the time, except when she's hungry, when she screams bloody murder! She is now standing and trying to walk. They both get along so well, and Christian is very protective of her. ;-) I still play soccer in an Over-30 League in West Gwinnett in the spring and fall, and play in the Caribbean Soccer League during the summer. I am currently training for the Rock-n-Roll Half Iron Man Triathlon (1.2 mi swim, 56 mi bike, 13.1 mi run) in Macon at the end of May, so you will often find me at the South Dekalb YMCA swimming, biking, running, or lifting weights. --------------->
