Chris's Story
After high school, I moved to Phoenix, AZ, to attend Grand Canyon University. I had a great time at GCU!!! Once the tuition became too expensive, I moved to Texas to attend the University of North Texas and lived with my grandparents.
While in Texas, I met my wife, Jennifer. We were married on New Year's Eve 1993.
Just before getting married, I changed my last name from Snell to Jordan. Explanation: At birth, my last name was "Jordan." When I was 7 years old, my mom remarried a man with the last name "Snell" and legally changed my last name to "Snell". A few years later, my mother divorced Mr. Snell. In 1993, after meeting Jennifer, I chose to return to my birth name.
In April of 1993, we moved back to Phoenix, where I served as a youth pastor at First Southern Baptist Church of Glendale, worked at the infamous Baptist Foundation of Arizona, and attended Wayland Baptist on Luke Air Force Base.

s City to attend Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I pastored Gilman City Baptist Church and later moved to the FBC of Bethany.
While in Missouri, we began having children. Nehemiah, Mordecai, and Hadassah were born.
In 2002, we moved to Georgia and added six more children: Deborah, Barnabas, Jeremiah, Priscilla, Thaddaeus, and Abigail.
In 2002, I began serving at the FBC of Norcross in Georgia. In January 2007, I started a new church called Christ Church of Metro Atlanta. In 2013, we merged our growing church with North Peachtree Baptist Church and became Crossroads Church of Dunwoody.
In 2013, we merged Christ Church of Metro Atlanta with an older congregation known as North Peachtree Baptist Church. We rebranded the church Crossroads Church of Dunwoody.
In 2020, we moved to Lynchburg, VA. I serve as Senior Pastor of West Lynchburg Baptist Church. wlbc.life
In 2022, I finished my Doctorate degree in Church Revitalization.
