Chris's Story
Let's see - my story....
Well, after hish school graduation I attended Ricks College for a short time before leaving on a church mission in Peru for two years. Lots of good people with pure hearts and without guile. Came back and returned to Ricks College where I was a member of the Acapella Choir and the Ballroom dance team. Surprise, surprise, I was actually good at it and ended up with two gold medals, one silver, and a categorgy dance champion! I met my first wife Lori there, and left school to fufill the financial obligations of being a husband and a future dad. We moved to Provo, UT, Stockton, CA, and then to Payson, UT. My first two daughters were born in Provo. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't take and ended in 1989.
I moved to Logan, UT and went to Utah State. While there I was an information technology major with a minor in Marketing, and a member of the chamber choir. The highlight was touring Russia performing with the Moscow Philharmonic and St. Petersburg Philharmonia orchestras. What a great time. Moved to Mesa, AZ and worked there for a few years and then moved back to Idaho, where I am now in the Boise area. Met LaVon, my...Expand for more
sweetheart and love of my life, here and we married in 1997 where she brought her two daughters into the family. She is a 3rd grade teacher with tons of patience and I am an account executive for an information technology solution provider. My oldest is now married the second is on her own, our third is away at college and our last is now a senior. Boy, do I feel old sometimes!! We love traveling and the outdoors - especially water areas - and spend what time we can camping, biking, and swimming.
I can't recall ever being intentionally mean to anyone and I sure hope that stays true. If not, I would like to have the chance to apologize. My desire has always been to be remembered as a gentleman. The greatest compliment that I ever received also helped to shape my current actions and attitudes. Mrs. Rhonda Rainey, wherever you are - thank you!
If I could do it over again the only thing I would change is to have taken my schooling more seriously, especially in high school; sure would have changed a few things in my life. But then, perhaps I wouldn't be who I am today without those experiences, eh?
There's lots more but that's the 50-cent tour!
