Chris's Story
Life
Oct 2005: Currently, I work for my husband in his computer consulting business. I am able to work from home, which gives me the best of both worlds, as I can be available when the kids need me to help get them to activities. Our kids are growing too fast! Emily (almost 17) is a junior at Mount Vernon HS and is quite busy with soccer, band, and honors classes at school. Nate (13) is an 8th grader, keeping busy with cross country, Boy Scouts, band, skiing, hunting and fishing. He loves school and is doing well. Wesley (10) is a 5th grader. He is following in his older siblings' love of band, and he is also active with soccer, Cub Scouts, skiing, hunting and fishing. Yes, I am busy driving and...Expand for more
picking up kids from activities! Luckily, Emily has had her driver's license for almost a year, and when she has time in between HER busy schedule, she helps with her brothers. In addition to working, I am heavily involved in our Boy Scout troop as the unit committee chair. It can be a lot of work, but well worth it. When I have time, I love to sew, making quilts (okay, so technically, they are quilt tops...the part about layering and sewing it into a usable cover isn't fun...I really like to piece the quilt top the most!) and I make an attempt to record our family memories in scrapbooks! And later, I might get around to the laundry and dishes! After all, a girl's gotta have her priorities! :)
