Chris's Story
Life
After Graduation I got married in November of 1984 and moved to Carlsbad New Mexico. In February of 1985 we moved backed to O'Fallon, IL. I went into the Army February 12th, 1985. I went to Fort McCllenan, Alabama for my Basic and Advanced training. In June of 1985 I graduated from Military Police School and was asigned to Bravo, Battery 3/52 Air Defense Artillery in Wildflecken Germany. After 18 months in Germany I was transferred back to Fort Dix, NJ and from there I was transferred to Fort Drum, Ny. After 2 years in the states I went to the Department of Defense working Dog School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. From there I was transferred to Fort Clayton, Panama in the Republic of Panama in 1989. In Decmber of 1991 I got divorced and in February of 1992 I decided to get out of the Army and moved back to Fairview Heights, Il. I remarried in Semptember of 1995 and live in Fairview Heights. also provide security, Airport Operations, and wildlife control for the airport among other things. Well in January 2006 I decided to make a move, I went to Iraq for 1 year as a contract Firefighter protecting those who protect us.
Workplace
From January 2006 to January 2007 I worked as a Contract Firefighter in Iraq protecting those who protect us. I met a lot of new people and made a lot of new friends. It was an awesome time and I paid off most of my bills. Now I am startign to work as a Fire INvestigator for a private company doing work for insurance companies. Prior to my journey to Iraq I worked for Pro Tec Fire Services which is a Private Company that provides Fire Service for Airports Throughout the United States, I currently work at the the MidAmerica Airport site.I have worked for Pro-Tec from June of 2000 until January 2006 and started out as a Public Safety Officer and was Promoted to Shift Captain in May of 2001. We provide Aircraft Fire Rescue, Security, EMS response and numerous other functions for MidAmerica Airport in Mascoutah IL.
