Chrissy's Story
School
To me, high school was defined by 2 things: running and friendship. Whether it was cross country, track or the off season, running seemed to be present and keep me going. It was great too, because that is where I met some really cool girls, one of which I am still best friends with...hi Nicole! Nicole and I seemed to be good at getting into trouble together, but it was all in good fun. Oh the stories we have. I think it's funny how back then we thought we knew everything...teenagers.
College
College? I couldn't tell you much about the classes that I took; all my practices and races blur together. What I can tell you is that college taught me what friendship really means. y trip to Cairo, Egypt, as my friends and I humbled ourselves in a land so different than ours that I cannot explain in a short bio. What more is there to say?
Workplace
I have had some interesting luck with jobs just out of college. My first job (which I really enjoyed) I got laid off because they couldn't afford to keep me on staff (one-man show). So, soon enough I find another job, which is very monotonous but the people are great and I could bike to work, and a year later the company decides to close its doors in California. So, I am out of a job again. I then went to work for California Job Journal, which I was confident would not lay me off. I was a sales rep for them for a year and half and have decided sales is not for me. I now am the Assistant Coach for cross country and track at Notre Dame High School in San Jose. I guess running just called me home.
