Christa's Story
Life
Since high school I have pursued a higher level of education. I received my bachelor of Recreation Studies in the fall of 2002 and I received my Masters of Natural Resources Management in the summer/fall of 2004. I lived on a First Nations reserve in Ontario for three months conducting my thesis field work. endent First Nation No.39 Shoal Lake Ontario." I have not attended a graduation ceremony since high school and I have no plans to change that tradition. I am now living and working in the oil rich province of Alberta. I work for the Mikisew Cree and I am the Regulatory Affairs Coordinator. In English that means that I have to deal with big companies such as Imperial, PetroCan, Syncrude, etc and make sure that the rights and concerns of the First Nation are considered and respected.
