Christian's Story
Life
Once I finally stopped being a full-time military brat in 1996, I moved to the DC area (Northern Virginia) and have been here ever since. I got married in 2001, but have no kids yet (just a retired greyhound and two parrots). We are both avid travelers, and look forward to eventually moving out of this area and exploring something new. We have very recently begun kicking around the idea of either moving out west to Colorado Springs or Denver, or finding a job that will take us back to Europe for a few years. All I know is that it was a very hard adjustment staying in one place for so long after moving around every three to four years while growing up. Guess that's why I've moved five times to five different houses since arriving here. It's nice to have set down some roots, yet a little disconcerting at the same time.
School

nella. I spent just under two years there, attending UMUC before moving to Louisiana to attend LA. Tech. Ended up moving back with my parents who were still in Sig a year later (college life = lots of beer) and ended up graduating from UMUC in 1996, right before moving back to the DC area.
Workplace
Have been working for Lockheed Martin since 1997. I am currently a senior systems engineer.
In General
Well, whenever we're not stuck in the usual rut (work, pay bills, etc), the wife and I enjoy road tripping. In the past, this has meant hopping a flight out to Phoenix and then driving to every corner of the Southwest, which normally means we putting 5000+ miles on our poor rental cars over a two week period. We also visited the Caribbean for the first last year and are planning to go back there for some R&R in the near future.
Other than that, we enjoy movies, going to hockey games (Capitals season ticket holders), and riding motorcycles.
