Christiane's Story
Hello all,
I won't go over our whole life history but will let all know what has happened since Veronica and I left the Army. In January 2002 Veronica and I left Giessen, Germany to return home to New Athens, IL. In May I took a job with a small oil company as an office manager and started school at Southeastern Illinois College in August of 2002 and Veronica started the 6th grade. I was accepted into the Practical Nursing program in May of 2003 and started the program in August of 2003. I completed the Practical Nursing program in July 2004, with honors as a member of the National Honor Society. Upon completing the nursing program Veronica and I returned to Fayetteville, NC. I took the Nursing Boards in Oct 2004 and recieved my license shortly after. I took a job as a pediatric nurse with a home health agency, Pediatric Services of America. In October 2005 I returned to school to get my Healthcare Administration Associate Degree with the Univeristy of Phoenix on-line program.In 2006, I took a job at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC as a member of the Float Pool, which I gained much clinical experience on Med/Surg, Pre and Post-Op, Mother and Baby, and a few others. of highschool at Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville,NC. I received my associates degree from the University of Phoenix in May 2007. In 2007 I decided to move home close to my family (which I had never done since I spent my entire life in the military)in West Branch, MI. So, in August 2007 I moved in with my parents and started my job search. I was offered a position with a home health care agency Dobson Healthcare in October 2007. I currently work with quadraplegic patients in their homes and enjoy it immensly. In May 2008, I was offered an administrative position with my current employer and the opportunity to further my education. In December 2008, I moved to Essexville, Michigan and am enjoying it! In June, I will start the LPN to BSN program. Personally, I am in a wonderful relationship with a man who is absolutely wonderful to me. So, as you can all see I have been very busy and will be for the foreseable future. I have been blessed with many wonderful people in my life in and out of the military. I hope that I can return much of the kindness that has been shown to me. For those of you who have been there for me over the years (you know who you are) Veronica and I thank you.
