Christie's Story

I attended Carl Albert High School from 1976 to 1979 and then my Dad (who was in the Air Force) got assigned to Dayton, Ohio. I was so happy at Carl Albert and not happy about this move! But that's life. I graduated from Baker High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1980. I spent a couple years rebelling and causing all sorts of havoc to my family and then got a clue! I met my husband in Montgomery, Alabama while working at a department store. He was the BEST thing that ever happend to me. Rob joined the Air Force and we were married in 1985 in Maryland. We had quite the adventure with our first assignment in Alaska so we drove from DC to Alaska! We were also stationed in Texas (where my first son was born), California (where my second son was born), Maryland and then we moved to Colorado where we now reside and absolutely LOVE. e most beautiful scenery imaginable. My parents live two blocks from us so thats been really wonderful. I have one son, Mike at the University of Colorado studying Psychology and Music and my younger son, Eric who is almost a junior in high school. They are both exceptional guitar players. Besides playing with animals, my favorite thing to do is watch them perform...what a thrill! My husband Rob works for a defense contractor and is very successful in his field and I decided to get a part time job this past year at a jewelry store which is great fun. (I don't make much money so I can buy gems!)I spent this past summer taking care of my horse, Zeus who got severely injured in his hoof. I decided this fall that I needed to do something for myself, so playing at a jewelry store seemed like the thing to do! So life is good, with its ups and downs but no complaints....today!
