Christina's Story
I was an exchange student from Sweden and had a wonderfull year at Grissom High School as a Senior in Class of '84. I lived with the Moss family on Burlingame Drive.
This year turned me into a more outgoing and confident person than I was before and is one of the most important periods of my life.
I learned so much and had so much fun, thanks to all my friends and other wonderful people that I had the chance to get to know. Love y'all !!!
I went back to Sweden and finished the "Gymnasium" (kind of like Upper Secondary School or Senior High School). I did not go to collage but took a higher course in Computer Programming/System Engineering. However, I did not follow that line of work. Instead I started working as a foreman/overseer for cleaning staff at the Volvo Parts factory in my hometown Koping.
I met my partner in 1991 (we never married), started a family in 1996 (Carolina was born in 1996 and Victoria in 1998), bought a nice house in Hallstahammar in 1999. One of our biggest interests were "folkrace", which is a relatively cheap motor sport that just about ...Expand for more
anyone can participate in. We both competed in different cars and had loads of fun on the race tracks, and our girls practicly grew up there.
In 2002 I started working at a local factory, Monoflex Nordic AB, as an indoor salesman(woman)/customer support. It's a company that produces and sells tow bars and wiring kits for cars, and I love my work.
My partner and I were separated and sold the house in 2012, so these days I'm a single mother with two lovely daughters, Carolina going on 18 and Victoria going on 16.
It would be a dream to sometime be able to come back to Huntsville, and meet some of my old friends.
I have been visiting Norway several times in the last years and I am overwhelmed with the fantastic nature, with the high mountains and deep fjords (and steep, narrow roads!). The picture of me is from on top of the mountain Dalsnibba in Norway, 1500 meters above sealevel. It was taken in 2010 and I have my two dogs with me. Behind me to the right in the picture you can see the back of my daughter Victoria. Far down below is a fantastic view of Geiranger.
