Christina's Story

Life Obviously you already know my name, so no need to repeat myself there. My birthday is on 18th of November. I am from Washington state, lived here my whole life, minus the 3 months I spent in North Carolina, what a waste! I am only 4'11" tall, and can't swim... School I pretty much went through school as quick as I could. I didn't like it much so I studied a lot so I could just get everything done and over with. I wasn't really a popular person, as some may know, so I never really hung out with my friends too much outside of school, granted I never had that many. I wouldn't say just one teacher inspired me, I'd say a lot of them did, and as for doing it all over again if I could, I wouldn't. High school isn't worth the trouble to make perfect. And if I didn't go through high school like I did, I probably wouldn't have had all the positive changes in my life that I've gone through recently. Starting in the Fall of 2007 im gonna be going back to Edmonds Community College to start my degree preparing me to be a paralegal. College There wasn't really much that I did in college. I just kinda went, did my work, studied, and came back and did it all over again. Didn't bother to socialize with anyone, cause chances are I wouldn't keep in contact with them after college anyways. The major I was going for was Accounting Specialization, but I only got half way through my degree as of now, but I plan on going back and finishing it after I have my child. And now I have found the opportunity to go back to school....ex...Expand for more
cept now I am not going back to finish my accounting degree...I've decided to change my major to the studies that will help me to become a paralegal. Workplace Most of the jobs I've had have been indoor jobs. My first job was working with disabled adults, which was interesting to say the least. Then I went to work in a daycare, a hospital, an employment agency, and the school district office while I was attending high school. When I got out of high school, I went back to being a receptionist for a while at the employment agency I was a receptionist for while I was in high school as well. Since that job was temporary, I found a job as an administrative assistant for a interior design company in Edmonds, WA. That was a big learning experience for me. I can't necessarily say I loved that job, but it was a job I glad I got. When I first moved out in September of 2003, I got a job at another daycare, I loved it! I got to work with kids, which is something I've always loved to do. Since that moving arrangement didn't work out for that long I ended up moving back home and went back to being an admin. assistant again for the company I was an admin. asst. for before, all the way up until April of 2004, when I went to North Carolina. I was in North Carolina for 2 1/2 months, where I got pregnant. I moved back home in June of 2004, and have been here ever since then, and I plan on looking for a job as well as finishing my degree in college as soon as possible. As of April of 2005 I've had a job as a lead daycare teacher :).
