Christine's Story
The story after RHS:
After graduating from the U of M with degrees in Child Psych and Nursing, I married Bob and moved to St.Louis where he was attending med school. We migrated to Kansas City,MO, then Lenexa,KS, right across the state line. Although I divorced in 1995, I have lived in the same home for 28 years.
I have three children. Jessica, 31, is married to Suso and living in Bilbao, Spain, where she teaches English and he is a tattoo artist. Pete, 27, works for Bank of the West, and lives nearby. Whitney, 24, works for a software company, Spiral 16.
My nursing career has included stints in the NICU, public health, school nursing (five years at the high school level--very interesting), and my current and most-loved job as a labor and delivery nurse, which I have been doing for quite awhile.

a Jayhawk fan and my kids are more like fanatics. We love our Jayhawks!
Other things I love include my pets and grandpets, a couple of them ending up at my house, sewing and quilting, reading, gardening, and anything to do with the arts. Working full-time kinda cramps my style with the leisure activities. I'm pretty sure I was really meant to sit at home, eating bon bons, keep my body buff, and endlessly redecorate my house, but so far that hasn't happened.
Right now I am working hard to get all the accumulated moving back and forth stuff my kids have left OUT OF MY HOUSE. Geezz!
It is very strange to have grown up as a Minnesota liberal and live in Kansas, where political science takes on new meaning. . . Still, the prairie has grown on me and it has been a great place to raise my children. Wonderful people and schools.
