Christine's Story
Time for an update. Much has happened in the last few years. I remarried----something I never thought I'd do. It was a God thing, though, and I understood this time because I listened. My husband is a blessing to me and my youngest daughter. We live near The Dalles, Oregon. We relocated here from Longview, WA, for my husband's job.
Prior to moving here, I worked in Vancouver and Longview with developmentally disabled adults. After our move to this area, I began working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as an advocate. As much as I enjoy my work, it ranks way below faith, family, and friends. Nothing is more important to me than these things. Life is short, and I will never look back on my life and say I wish I would have worked more. As I look back at my life I'm grateful that I was able to be a stay-at-home mom for a large portion of my children's lives. My children and granddaughter are everything to me. My oldest daughter is now 27 and her little girl will soon start 2nd grade. My twin daughters are 25, and my 'baby' is 18 and a recent high school graduate. They have been my life's greatest blessings, and will always be. They are a gift from God.
