Christine's Story
Life
I've been married since 1987. I have two awesome boys, Christopher & Cory. Christopher was going to go college for Culinary Arts, but after taking his time after graduating, he is now going to college for Criminal Justice, set to graduate in August 2009. Cory is in high school (player in football & formally in wrestling) readying himself to graduate this May (2008). I also have two step-kids, Jennifer & Jonathan. Jennifer has made me a grandma at an early age with two wonderful grandsons, Zakary & Nikolas.
I live just outside of Hillsboro, MO & love it! Lots of green space on three acres of land. Of course, after my baby graduates from Hillsboro High School, I've talked my husband into building a new home in the middle of our 40 acres in St. James. The big city life is not for me! They just keep building more & more subdivisions taking away from the country feel that this area has!!! I moved out here to get away from having neighbors right on top of my house. I worry about the county being able to take away part of my property so that they will be able to widen Highway Z - due to the heavy congestion that all this...Expand for more
building has created!
My mom and sister live together just two driveways down the road from me. My mom is retired now after being an over-the-road truck driver for 18 years. My parents divorced shortly after my graduation from Southwest High. My father passed away this past May (2007) after a valiant battle with renal disease. We really thought he would get better, but unfortunately, too much damage had been done to his organs. We were truly blessed to have Father Marek from St. Stanislaus to perform the mass for my father's funeral. 2007 was a very rough year for me, so I'm hopeful that 2008 will be a little less troubling. The good news we got to start out 2008 was that my mother's test all came back negative for any diseases, etc. She was having some issues which caused her to have to go thru a battery of tests. We just celebrated her 66th birthday and amazingly enough, she doesn't take any medications to keep herself going everyday. I tell her that is just her hard-headed ways and my sons that keep her on the run all the time!
I would love to chat with any of my former classmates so please write to me!
LOL,
Chris
