Christine's Story
As for me, never married, no children. I moved to San Diego after EDHS. I went to Mesa College for a few years then graduated from SDSU in 1995 (BA Sociology). Lived in SD for nearly 9 years before returning to Placerville for a few years. Worked in retail for 10 years, became a substitute teacher for a while, volunteered for several non-profits (Make-A-Wish, CA for Disability Rights, etc), tutored children after school. A few years ago I went to work for Prevent Child Abuse CA which solidified my passion in life-to work for the betterment of children in our world. I left PCA-CA to move from Fair Oaks to Nevada City. ...Expand for more
I worked for Nevada County in the Dept of Social Services for 2.5 years. And I still provide childcare to a few families in the area, just to keep me around the children's great energy. But what I really moved up here for was to dance. I have danced more than 5 years now. It is called 5 Rhythms. It is my addiction. The dance tribe is my home. And it is worldwide. As of June 2008 I just moved to Marin County (San Rafael) and will be working for the county here in the same Social Service position. I eventually want to be a 5 Rhythms dance teacher and teach children the dance. Music, dance & children. That's my goal.
