Christine's Story
Life
I received my B.A. degree from Queens College in 1970 and my M.S. from Hunter College in 1973. In 1970 I began my first career, teaching elementary school in the New York City public school system. I married Evan Dobkins on September 1, 1973 and we moved to our home in New Jersey in January of 1975. My first daughter, Kate was born in 1977. I took time off from teaching to be a full time mom. My daughter Rachel was born in 1983. lished my private practice, Lactation Consultants of North Jersey, that year. After 30 years in private practice as a lactation consultant, I retired. My daughter, Kate, is a Packaging Business Account Manager at Standwill Packaging, Inc. and is married to the love of her life, Jeff Aroff. Their twin daughters, Celena & Madelyn, were born in 2017 making me an ecstatic grandma! My daughter, Rachel, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor. She sees clients in her private practice at Inner Arrow, Counseling and Wellness, in Ramsey, NJ. I am living the good life with my husband of 50 years!
