Christine's Story

I now (as of Spring 2018) live in Baker City, Oregon, on the Eastern side of the state. I am loving it here, although it's more difficult to get to the coast. I lived in the Dallas, Texas area (Carrollton to be exact) for 32 years. Was finally able to return to the Salem, Oregon area in 2012. I love being back here. Even though I was born in California, this feels like home to me. We have been doing a huge amount of traveling. During the pandemic, we have been road tripping closer to home but have seen Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and some of California. We have a big cruise scheduled in December - going to Southeast Asia. Wasn't sure I'd ever get to see it because my husband served in Viet Nam during the war, but he's willing so I can't wait! I love to travel and have been blessed with being able to do quite a bit. The farthest I've been is Ireland - it's beautiful. My sister and I went and didn't ...Expand for more
get to see everything we wanted to see so we're itching to go back and see the rest. And now, my new husband is Irish, so he wants to go, also. I think I was born with wheels on my feet because I love to go - one of my bucket list items is to visit all 50 states. I only have 14 states left to go. As of Mar 2022, I only have 12 states left to see. I love being back in Salem, Oregon. Even the rain doesn't bother me, although the heat this summer I can do without!! Wow, we've now passed our 50-year reunion! Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, we didn't get to celebrate, as I'm sure you all at Mt. Diablo didn't either. Time sure passes quickly!! I may have only gone to school at Mt. Diablo my freshman year, but I still have fond memories. After all, went to my entire schooling through 9th grade in the same area so had lots of longtime friends. Would love to hear from anyone who'd like to say hi!

Have you ever thought: “I’m fat.” “I’m old.” “I’m not enough.”

My new kicks! They don’t show the color well. They’re actually fuschia and I love the embossing on them!!
Happiest of birthdays to my handsome, sexy man. You treat me like a queen so you must be my king!! My knight in shining armor, my mischievous leprechaun and my stubborn Irishman! Love you to the moon and back and forever
Shout out to the on-site jeweler at Fred Meyer 2500 Columbia House Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661 for repairing and sizing my ruby ring in 4 hours when their normal turn-around is 5 days!! I truly appreciate it since there’s no
