Christine's Story

Viva Las Vegas!! I have lived in Las Vegas, Nevada most of the time since high school. In addition to college, I got married and raised a family here. I own a small business in the legal field and sometimes wish I could throw my clients out a window (okay, I'm kidding about that part, I have great clients). If you remember me as the quiet type, well, I've changed, but more about that later ... When I was in my twenties I lost a lot of weight but my figure filled out and I learned how to do my hair and make-up like an artist ... I got away with a lot in my twenties and early thirties ... When I was younger I dealt baccarat, and then went back to college and went into the legal field. I have two children, both of whom are in their twenties. My daughter, Cassandra, is pursuing her PhD in English, and my son, William, is working his way toward an engineering degree. Both of my children are nice, highly intelligent, motivated, and witty. I frequently receive compliments on the type of people they grew up to become. Cassandra looks a lot like Britney Spears, and William looks a lot like Matthew McConaughey (so much so I quit watching his romance movies - it just felt weird). In the legal field I occasionally have to be tough on others but I am gentle with my children. I recently joked I would get tough with them. They laughed so hard my daughter had tears and my son couldn't breathe. My husband, Jeff, is my best friend. He is a handsome, husky man, with blue eyes, a hearty laugh, and a booming voice. The son of a hospital director, he was raised mingling with others at various functions. Today, he can mingle with the best of them. He is an avid sports fan who played football and baseball on his high school team. Jeff takes me on adventures around the United States which I love. I am trying to talk him into taking me to Pa...Expand for more
ris, then Italy. Wish me luck!! As I said earlier I am no longer quiet. For that matter I am no longer bashful. Nope, not me. Although I do still speak with a soft voice. I just have a lot to say. You may have seen me on television a few times as I solved a 23 year old missing person case which turned out to be murder and got the killer sent to prison. My story was featured on Dateline NBC, Cold Case Files, a true life show, on the news, and is the subject of a book which is currently being written. Not long ago I addressed the Las Vegas city council about an issue of importance to my area of the Las Vegas valley. My comments drew a sharp response from one of the council members, and the local NBC news team beat me to my home. I didn't know it at the time but my boys were watching me on TV and doing the "high five" at what I had to say. Did I mention I am no longer quiet??? Now that the kids are grown and gone Jeff and I are looking around wondering what we want to do to occupy ourselves when we retire. He can retire at 55 and he turns 51 soon. Trust me, he's counting the days. :) I watched the movie, The Bucket List, and I thought the bucket list was a pretty cool idea so I started one of my own. I love the water (I actually look around sometimes and wonder what the blue blazes am I doing in the desert?) so at the top of my list I have sailing. I would love to learn to sail. I would also like to learn to do the tango, salsa dancing, and the moonwalk. My husband is an avid golfer but the best I can do is drive the cart. I would like to learn to golf, that is on my list. Exotic cooking is another thing on the list. So is hang gliding. I need more ideas. Any good ideas out there?? Over the years I've thought about many of you. I hope you have been happy and healthy. It would be great to hear from you. Bye.
