Hi y'all! I got married just after graduation. First mistake! :) (honestly, who's entirely rational at 18??? ~ *ha!*) Had two lovely children but then found myself a single parent and got a job at Boeing. Worked my way up to systems analyst (found husband number three, who's a keeper now of nearly 17 years....I'd love to talk about husband number two but that's a story for another time), was a test lead at a start up company for a few years, and had my third child around that time. Due to the start up company melting down (bankrupt), I ended up as a contractor at Microsoft. Got hired full time as a software test engineer. A couple years ago, after much of the manual testing was outsourced, I quit as a FTE to take a contracting job as a program manager on the same team. That was great, although now they have CSG employees take 100 days off between contracts (work a year, off a couple months). So I spent 100 blissful days from Feb 07 to early June wondering for the first time ever what to do with my time. I got PM-certified, worked in the garden, did some home remodeling.... In June I started a new contract at MS, working as a case manager on Windows Updates. After that six month contract, I got another 6 month contract as the beta test administrator for the MS...Expand for more
