Christopher's Story
(2008)
I retired from Middlesex Police Department, April, 2004 with 25 years and moved the Family to Cape Coral, Florida, where it is summer and beach time all year long.
After building a house here I got bored, so I went back to work as a Police Officer for the City of Cape Coral and having a blast.
The City of Cape Coral is the second largest City in the State of Florida by square miles. (124 sq. miles)
My Wife Jane (Nieliwocki) and I have three children who have all adjusted well to Florida living.
Chris, our oldest, is a junior in high school and is on the Varsity swim team and boxes for the local P.A.L. He life guards at the City water park.
Jeanette is a sophomore in high school and in the IB program. She is also a level 9 gymnast. She defended her 1st. Place National Title for level 8, 15yrs. old AAU and USA in Chattanooga, Tn. and Orlando, Fl. this past year. She is also coaching level 2 and 3's gymnast this summer.
Alycia is in seventh grade this year. She is our entertainer. She enjoys dance, ballet, jazz, tap and acro. She also finds time to work with the area theater performing in plays.
(UPDATE 03/2010)
Chris just received a athletic scholarship for swimming.
Jeanette has numerous colleges requesting DVD of her gymnastic and diving.
Alycia auditioned and was excepted to attend a High School of the Arts.
(UPDATE 09/2011)
Its been an interesting year and has felt like a roller coast...Expand for more
er ride.
Our Son Chris is a Sophomore at Valencia College in Orlando this year with his goal to attended U. Central Florida next year for film and journalism. (The swim team at Daytona Beach College fell a part)
Jeanette has been the roller coaster ride. She has always dreamed of attending a college on a scholarship for gymnastics. Rutgers was her first choice, but they were not interested last year when she first started to apply for college and sending out video of her gymnastic competition.
In April of this year Jeanette made the National Team and competed in Long Beach, Ca. Now she had a number of Colleges attention.
Although she had been accepted to Rutgers Campus academically they had no scholarships left for this year and she was only guaranteed a walk on with the "A" Squad with a possible scholarship next year.
After studying all her offers and curriculum's of all the colleges, Jeanette is now attending the University of Alaska, Anchorage on a full gymnastics scholarship and loving every minute of it.
Alycia in a Sophomore at the local high school for performing arts. She hopes to be an actor soon and is having a blast getting involved in all the work shops, plays. She also auditioned in LA in Aug. She did well and they wanted her to move to LA to sign and work out there. MOM said not at this time and they will be back out in LA when school gets out.
That's it for now. Time is flying......
