Christopher's Story

Life After high school, I went to Knox College in Galesburg, IL and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and was president of my fraternity. After college, I went to Harry Wendelstedt's umpiring school in Florida to try to get into the minor leagues - didn't make it, but one guy from my class is now in the majors. Went to law school as a fall back, graduated from Chicago-Kent, worked for a law firm downtown for a while, then got hired as an Assistant State's Attorney and was prosecuting DUI's and misdemeanors and then made into a felony courtroom prosecuting felony drug cases, burglaries, robberies, etc. Left this past year to work...Expand for more
for a criminal defense/divorce/personal injury firm in Schaumburg. I live in Schaumburg, work right by Woodfield, and down the road my brother ('87) and I will probably hook up - he's a lawyer in Barrington. Anyways, sounds a lot more impressive on paper than in reality. This summer, my brother, Jeff DelPorte ('88) and I will be taking our 6th annual baseball trip where we go to different ballparks and cities - so far we've done Boston, New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, Cleveland, Houston, Arlington, Texas,San Diego, LA, San Fran, Denver, and Phoenix. That's the past 13 years of my life in a nutshell - kind of scary!!
