Christy's Story
Hello Fellow Classmates,
Wow how time flys. I got married shortly after High School and moved to the Bay area. After 13 yrs of marriage, I got divorced and realized that my heart belonged to SLO, so I moved back home. I currently live in Santa Margarita with 4 dogs (3 Australian Shepherds and a Lab) and 2 cats. When my 11 yr. old aussie, Harley, was a year old, I took him through an Obedience class at Canine Academy in Atas. It was there, that I was introduced to Agility. It has since become my passion, or as my father says, my addiction....Expand for more
I train and show the 3 aussies in Agility, Obedience, Rally and Confirmation and love it. I am also an Agility instructor at Canine Academy (my night job) and a 4-H Leader for Dog Care and Training for two SLO 4-H clubs. If that weren't enough, I am the 4-H County rep for Dog Care and responsible for organizing the Dog Shows during the 4-H year. My day time job isn't quite as exciting, I am a Material Planner for a gas purification company in SLO. I can tell you that it is a lot easier getting up at 5:00 a.m. to go to a dog show than work!
