Christy's Story
My life is crazy good. After high school I attened Ohlone Junior College and played volleyball for 2 years. I met my husband in San Ramon and have been married 16 years now. We moved to Guerneville, CA (Sonoma County) in a family built cabin and have been there for 18 years now. We have a great 9 years old boy, Clayton and 3 black lab dogs age range from 14 years old to 1 year old, Dozer, Bodega, Patron. Living on the Russian River is a blast and I love it. The small town is great and we have the best of both worlds the summer hang out with the river and the winters are exciting with possible flooding. About 4 years go my husband, Matt & I took on a huge task of remodelling our house, since it was 50 years old and falling apart. So since we live in flood prone area we decided to raise the house a full story and remodel it completely. CRAZY!!!So we did do that, we raised our house 12 feet and basicly keep the roof & four outside walls from the original house. And when I say, we, I mean we. That is what I get for marrying a General Contractor. We did 90% or the work or should I saw he did. But keep in mind I suffered through the process while construction, the 3 of...Expand for more
us lived in a 26 foot travel trailer in front of the house. What stories I will tell the grandkids. It took us 3 years and we had several set backs, Matt had knee surgery, weather was very cold in the winter and my father passed away from cancer. Through it all we had the support of many and the house is finally finished. We have been in it for a year and it does still feel like a new home. All the fixings of our dream home, granite, hardwood, space and everything is clean and new and not 50 years old.
I work in Santa Rosa at a commercial property management company and my husband does construction on custom homes in the West Sonoma County. Clayton, our son, is busy in 4th grade and is very active in Kempo Karate, baseball, dirt bike racing and skateboarding. We enjoy camping now that we don't live in our trailer and plan to travel more.
So that sums up my life not exciting but it is the life I choose. I enjoy seeing everyones sites and I look forward to keeping in touch with all of you. I am not sure if I will make the reunion but I will try to send a message of some kind. Drop me a message and I will respond.
