Chuck's Story
Life
Born & raised in the McKeesport/Glassport area outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. Growing up in Glassport in the 50's & 60's. At the time, that town was the best place for a kid coming of age to be.
Any kid who grew up at that time in Glassport will remember the Friday night teen dances at the American Legion Post 443, DJ'd by Dick Smith. .50 cents to get in & a soda was a dime.
After 4 yrs. in the Army ('67-'71), got out & worked as a messanger for WPNB Bank and various other jobs while trying to get my foot in the door in Pittsburgh radio.
In '75 enlisted in the US Navy & retired in '91. All told had 4 tours in Vietnam & 8 mo. in Desert...Expand for more
Shield/Storm in '90-'91.
Met the love of my life in San Diego, Ca. and we were together 10 yrs. She died in '99 & I met a lady on the internet who helped me through it and in 2002, I came to Mass. & married her. I found out that there can be more than one soul-mate in one's life. It was the 3rd time I had married.
Have a daughter from the 1st marriage who's 29 and married to a really good man although she's the only good thing that came from a marriage that was a total disaster.

Graduated South Alligheny HS in '67. Attended various military schools in the Army & Navy.
