Chuck's Story
Life
Our International "daughter" from Korea has been with us for 2 school years & leaves for home this month. We will miss her but she'll be back to go to UofI in August, where she is studying business. Unless the phone rings sometime to tell us to move, we willcomplete our 4th year as pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, it is our 14th year in the UMC ministry, and our 3rd charge/assignment/posting, etc. Linda is teaching English as a 2nd language at Wabash Valley College here in Mt. Carmel (& she loves it.) We became grandparents January 25th, 2008. Erin and our son-in-law Adam, who live in Champaign and have been married since '03 presented us with a darling grand daughter, Adsen Elise Tarr for whom we pray daily. ch spoiling as we have been able to get away with. Melanie, our oldest, on Oct. 26th married Matt Ban of St. Charles, MO. I got to serve communion in a Lutheran Church. WOW! The December '07 wedding was delayed due to Melanie's becoming an Aunt. Bridesmaid Erin couldn't make the arranged date. Melinda got married May 12, 2007 to Henry Miller, (not the author). She works in Champaign for the Hildton Corp. We'll go into detail on that in the Christmas letter which could arrive as early as Thanksgiving weekend or as late as Valentine's Day. Shalom to all friends, former students and former parishioners. Current parishioners too. We may be here in Mt. Carmel another 5 - 8 years, or we could move in June. When you are in the UMC ministry, "Home" is where God (and the Bishop) sends you.
