After HS I traveled a lot with a Gospel Choral group. Went to Chabot, Cal State, got two degrees. Met my husband Greg, at Neighborhood Church - CV and got married in 1972. My grandparents began attending Neighborhood in the early '50s, and we continue the family tradition, We have been involved in family trucking business (Crescent Truck Lines, Numark Transportation, Overnite Express and Four Warns Transportation) since '72. We are also in family boat business since '73 (San Ramon Boat Center - San Ramon, Rocklin and Sunnyside, Ca.). Greg and I have traveled extensively in the US and have been able to visit over 35 countries outside of the US. After receiving two degrees in Computer Science, it was during the following years that I continued my education resulting in 2 degrees in American History, 1 in Law with a specialization in Mediation and Arbitration. This has served us well when having to deal with the various unions that are involved with the trucking business. I also have my masters in Constitutional Law. Which is why I probably dislike all politicians. We have two daughters, Stephanie ('78) and Ashley Kendall ('87). They are both graduates of Redwood Christian Schools. Stephanie continued her education at Columbia resulting in a degree in Broadcasting, and Ashley Kendall has two degrees, one in Paleontology, the other in Archaeology. Both majoring in fieldwork. She has been able to participate in digs from the age of 4 at the Blackhawk Quarry, to working with accredited digs in Montana and Wyoming. Stephanie now lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, Brandon, and our two grandkids, Harper Lu - 4, and Cole - 1. Ashley is living in Monterey with her husband, Duane, and is currently participating in the digs at Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes, in Santa Maria, CA. It seems that the 1923 movie "The Ten Commandments" was filmed there, and they just buried the sets rather than dismantle them! They are now being excavated like a true archaeological site! We are also involved in NHRA Drag Racing. Have been since 1976. Our daughters now travel allover the U.S. to the venues to race their cars. They both have 2 each - both participating in the Super Gas and Super Comp classes. Our main sponsor is and has been See's Candies. Both of our girls are also involved in the operations of our trucking companies. Trucking has been good for us and even with the drought, we still manage to sell Cobalt Boats well. I started a small event (2-200) catering business about 16 years ago and am having a lot of fun with that. We are now moving to the end of the race season this year and forward to celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Looking forward also to making our annual new years trip to Disney World and our house in Orlando. January 2015 - Racing season has started and we are already nursing a broken pickup. At the Nationals in Vegas - in April, Ashley got side-blasted by a wind shear after the grand stands and put her pickup into the k-wall and then around to the out wall, She walked away with a couple of bruises, but broke the truck frame in the front and bent the back quite a bit. Just found out it will need a complete re-build. We also found out that Stephs new Camaro came with the wrong axel but we were able to get that fixed right away. You would think that a company who builds only 250 cars a year wouldn't make those kind of mistakes. So goes the life of racing enthusiast!!
