Moved from California to Virginia right before my senior year of high school. Graduated from Annandale HS. Went to Mary Washington. Applied late so ended up as a freshman in an upper class dorm. Ball in Tri-Unit. Lived on 3 East all but one semester of my entire four years at MWC, Sociology major with an elementary teaching certification. Got a job as a fifth grade teacher in Hampton, but only lasted until Halloween. Principal expected me to be at same level as a seasoned teacher right out of the box. Got a job in the warehouse of Best Products for the Christmas season and ended up meeting the man I have been married to for almost 37 years. I have worked in social work and then accounting primarily for both public and private and government agencies. Retired on Halloween of 2008 (I like to leave on memorable dates). We have no children, just dogs.
