Cindy's Story
Life
Okay it has been 30 years plus since I graduated as a junior in 1975. Alot has happened during that time so I will keep it short. I have been divorced for 15 years. I do not have any children but have a great-neice in Alabama who is just 4 months old and is already spoiled rotten! Over the years I have worked in federal and private employment but I now work for a not-for-profit mental health agency and love my job. It involves working wih those most in need and travelling throughout the state of Illinois. I lived for some years in Chicago (also working in mental health) and then in Detroit but have returned back home. In fact I now live in an apartment attached to the house where I was raised. My parents are getting up there in years, so I moved in to help them out when the need occurs. But this also gives me a chance to really know my parents, to take the time to learn from them things I can pass onto the younger generations. My life is good, I am at peace in my life (both professionally and personally), I get the chance to see a difference being made in people's lives and I truly am blessed. I vacation yearly in North Carolina at "The Outer Banks", a beach community, where I have been lucky enough to find an annual retreat from regular day-to-day living. I am not a techie but am very computer literate (guess getting to know computers at Washington Elementary School ...Expand for more
in 4-6 grades gave me an itch to scratch!) and am often seen at local coffee houses with my nose in my laptop doing my work when not on the road. I recently started doing karaoke (sp?) with a friend at different places around the CU area and I still cannot carry a tune in a bucket but I have a good time. Guess that is enough for now. You can contact me at creynolds 1958 "at" msn dot com (remove spaces and adjust accordingly... only way to post it so it won't be deleted so I found out! LOL). Enjoy your life and remember that life is too short for petty differences and smaller stressers! Hugs!

Just a short note to say "Thank you" to all who have signed my guestbook but I am not a paying member so I cannot see your messages.
I am still working in the mental health field but have purchased a home in Rantoul in the fall of 2006 which I remodeled for 3 months prior to moving in 2 days prior to Christmas. I enjoy being a homeowner although at times I feel like a duck out of water trying to figure out how to do things...LOL Never was mechanically inclined or into manual labor, but it is amazing what you can accomplish when you want to get something done and you are the only one who can do it! It may sound trivial to some but cleaning out gutters, mudding drywall and demolition are now on my "have done" list!
Hope you all are well and living a good life.
Hugs!
