Cindy's Story

After graduating from UMO in 73, I taught middle school for one year in Guilford, ME. Then I married a Deering High grad and we moved to New Jersey for 2 years. We returned to Maine so he could obtain an additional degree from UMO. To my dismay at the time, in 1978 we moved to Wisconsin. I vowed to be back in New England in 5 years. That was 38 years ago! We are still Mainers in our hearts but have made a wonderful life here in cheesehead c...Expand for more
ountry. We live 20 minutes from Lambeau Field (you football people know what that sacred shrine is)and had to become fanatical Packer fans although we are still loyal to the Red Sox. We had 2 sons a bit later in life so still no grandchildren. I was in human resources for a cheese company (imagine that in WI) for 25 years. My husband retired from the paper industry in 2016. We are back to greater Portland frequently so our ties are very strong!
