Cindy's Story

Well, you ask, what are you doing here at KENNEDY...well, I went to Western for TRUE LOVE along with 5 or 6 other friends from OXFORD, so now, all grown up, I'm catching up on all those I knew back then.... Well, I moved out of Cali 25 years ago and became a mountain girl instead of a beach girl. I live in the rocky mountains of Wyoming, outside of Yellowstone National Park. I came out at 28 and started Wyomings 1st B&B and a couple other little businesses, and just love Wyoming. Now was it Bob Acosta and I - "Most Likely to Succeed" - ha - how do you know that at 15!!!!! Now, succeed then was always thought of in $$$$, now in age and wisdom, so much more goes into it. Succeed? Have I? I think so, I'm happy, content, at peace and oh, what a great trip I've been on. At 18, going blind, unable to feel, I started college in my Jr year. Graduated early and by the following year was really sick, long story short...I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, MS. I was given , "Two years to walk, two years to talk ( you know that did not go over well with me) and told , "you will never be able to have children." Whew!~ Well, not so doctors, lots of docs, 3 years latter, still sick, blind, not walking, etc, change major from medicine to business, etc, etc, etc, life goes on, married, divorce, trauma. married, move to Wyoming........husband has a son, Aaron, great boy, we have children, picket fence, B&B on river in Cody, live happily ever after, not.....husband is BIG not a nice guy.... I get divorced, raised 3 daughter's for 10 years alone, then found a great guy, at church, and we've been together for 12 years. All of our children knew each other growing up from Sunday school and were friends. We got married in 1999 and built a small retreat type place outside of Cody, Wyoming and found managers for my other places and now live truly, in the country. Life is great, lots of animals, blue skies, friendly people, safe places to walk and just "be". I've been in real estate, an escrow officer, had a photography studio, became a pilot, was a massive volunteer in state and civic organizations, been an activist for certain changes in the state, a room mom, a grand mom, had a safe house for kids, the hang out house for kids as the "at home mom" on the block. produced a video and sold it, was a film commissioner for NW Wyoming, ran a State senate campaign as marketing and media director, learned NOT to volunteer so much, learned to hunt, fly fish, rock climb, back pack, four wheel, survive in snow caves & Wyoming winters if I needed to; can skin out a deer, pack out an elk, but still go to the theatre in high heels and black...Expand for more
dress that evening. Our children are healthy. My oldest son Aaron from my previous marriage is in Cali and is in the medical field and happy. My hubby Don's son, Matty, is in Fl in his last year of med school and has our only two little grandgirls that are 1 1/2 yrs old; next son, Brad, is up here with us, working with a boys ranch as a counselor, our oldest daughter, Heather is up here as a stay-at-home-mom, with our 4 grandboys, 14, 12, 10, 6!!! Healthy and happy; next daughter, Sarah is in Fl, going to nurse anestatist school, daughter Rach, up here going to nursing school, lastly, daughter Julie in NC working as an estate caretaker raising gardens, taking care of horses and canning veggies! All are happy, know the Lord, love their families, and know work ethics. My experience with Ms, has made me so grateful. I say I have been blessed with MS. Being I was only 18 when I was hit with it, I have from that young age on been grateful for EACH day I could walk, talk, see, move, be pain free. Two years ago, I was bed rested for one year, in a wheel chair. I was in the Keys and fractured my neck, back and skull. Came home to a very large embezzelment out of one of our businesses, proceeded to have 5 surgeries 6 months later, a major back surgery 1 month later, then lost our daughter 3 weeks later. My MS flared up. Very, very , sick. A friend gave us a box of MonaVie, it is a juice. 19 fruit juices. Acai berry being one of them. This company has a freeze dried patent on the Acai berry. It looses it's potency within 48 hours. So, pure fruit, acai, I start drinking this. Six weeks later I was out of my wheelchair, able to walk without a cain. I was on $45,000 in MS meds and pain meds; I stopped all medications, flushed them down the toilet, stopped my DAILY shots, and drank juice. I was soooo blessed. I couldn't keep my mouth shut, now that is the old Cindy everyone remembers. I told everyone, called everyone, emailed everyone. Well, I thought I have to tell everyone what happened. Shame on me if I keep this to my self. I order it and stared sending MonaVie all over the US to family. Well, long story short, THe health blessing turned into a huge financial blessing. So, now we have a MonaVie business. IN business for ourselves, but not buy ourselves. This business grossed a BILLION $$$$ in just 2 years. I'm coming out in October for a 50th church reunion, Holy Cross Luthern that I grew up in and will be out there. Let me know what is up with all of you. I really messed up going to Western instead of Kennedy, I knew NO ONE at Western, oh well, who knows of true love at 15 anyway, Blessings! Cindy
