Cindy's Story
While I was growing up in our rather large-small town in South Dakota I had no idea where my life would go. Back then I thought I'd be there always. My dad took a new job my senior year in Minneapolis so we moved right in the middle of it. I was able to return and graduate with my class so I am thankful for that. I went to a junior college and obtained a degree to be a legal assistant. I have been a legal secretary for 30 years now (man how time flies by!!). I married in 1991 and my daughter, Lauren Rose, was born in 1993. She is now 16 and is growing into her own beauty. Because of my now ex-husband Bryan's job in the aviation insurance industry we moved from Minneapolis to Dallas, Texas where we did NOT like to be. We were there about a year and a half and then moved to Atlanta, Georgia. That was pretty neat living there. Finally, Bryan ended up moving to Louisville, Kentucky so here I am today. My family is still in Minnesota, but I have chosen to stay on here as this is where my life is. My daughter will be graduating next year - yikes! It's been quite a ride for me these years since I've graduated. I've gone through some wonderful thin...Expand for more
gs and I have also sometimes basically survived in situations where my life had taken me. One thing I really like about Louisville, Kentucky is that they have a Minnesota Vikings fan club known as the Derby City Norsemen so I get to see all the games and also get to watch it with other fans.
So, here I am at 50 years old, single and unattached for now. I have a nice apartment and a great cat and am content for the moment. I am still hoping I meet a special someone to share the rest of my life with.
I was in Watertown in June of 2008 when we buried my Dad in the cemetary in Castlewood. It was wonderful to see it again and to show my daughter where I grew up. Right now I don't see myself coming back to Watertown for a visit anytime soon. I spend my vacations in Minnesota with my family. My sister, Brenda, the youngest has 3 boys and her oldest, John, is 3 months older than Lauren so it was a fun time when they were both born. My other sister, Deb, has a little girl who is now 7.
I'm not sure what else to say but if any of you ever get to Louisville, Kentucky look me up. Take care everybody and I wish you a wonderful life!
