Avi "Cindy Steffy"'s Story

Life Life is a work in progress & this bio will be edited from time to time. I've held a wide variety of jobs & had many interesting experiences. For over 15 yrs I was legal secy/ofc mgr for Entertainment Industry lawyer in SF Bay Area, and worked for some of his famous clients: Estates of Janis Joplin and Jerry Garcia, Santana Band, Elvin Bishop, Kronos Quartet. Now I am doing freelance work, including computer consulting/training, billing services. My passion is writing, and I am working on a novel &/or screenplay. Here are some newsy and silly highlights from a busy life: I lived in a commune & adopted a Sanskrit name; spent 10 months in India studying with an Indian teacher; became a professional numerologist & gave psychic readings (Tarot, Astrology, Palmistry & Numerology) at the Enchanted Tree in Waikiki, Honolulu; attended a couple sci-fi conventions; worked on a cruise ship in Hawaii; performed as singer/musician in 5-piece show band in the 70s; worked at Citibank whe...Expand for more
re I met Ted Turner when my boss gave him the loan that started CNN (you're welcome, Ted). I married 5 times (eternal optimist) - the latest in 2001 (no children; 2 cats). I love connecting with family and friends, helping others. And I love being age 60plus. Have fun in life! Workplace I've worn many different hats over the years... lots of temp office work and many varied adventures along the way. In Jan 2005 I finished 16 years of work for an Entertainment Industry attorney. I've returned to freelance work, with computer consulting, teaching and billing services. My favorite work is writing. I'm currently an avid student, writing in various modes (fiction novel, screenwriting, journals, etc.). I also do my own illustrations. I am always learning in some way or other. My passion now is studying the structure of myth and capturing the story essence in visual media such as comics. The challenge is to translate life's dramas in a way that allows us to have a good laugh.
