Cindy's Story
Life
My family and I have been back from Connecticut for a year now. The time has flown by! Brett is working at Jordan Valley Hospital. I renewed my teaching license this past summer, but am currently working as a teacher's aide in Mason's school. My daughter, Madison, is fifteen (gulp!) and is a sophomore at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts. My son, Mason, is eight (sigh) and is in third grade. Oh, and I can't forget our Boston "Terror", Quincy. He will turn four in December. He sleeps a lot since he's been neutered :)
We are living in Sandy, only blocks away from the Draper border. Our neighbors are nice and I love our neighborhood, but I'm missing the diversity of Connecticut.
Oh well, waddya do.
College
I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Westminster College in Salt Lake City in 1993. B...Expand for more
rett and I were married during my sophomore year and I had my daughter, Maddie, when I was a senior. So, I guess you could say I didn't have the typical college experience, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Workplace
I worked in the health insurance industry since 1991. Most of my career was spent at Intermountain Health Care. I worked briefly for another company training national clients on insurance claim software. Unfortunately, the job entailed a lot of travel and I missed my kids too much, so I went back to IHC until we moved to Connecticut.
Now I'm working as a teacher's aide. I plan to start teaching as soon as the opportunity arises. My daughter is going to college in three years, so I'm starting to freak out. If she goes where she wants to go, it will cost us $45,000 a year. Mama needs to go back to work.
