well, when i was 16 my first job was the garment factory in ringgold,,later i went through, flipping burgers, convienience stores secretary at health dept. worked j.c penny, and finally to go back to school in my 30's i went to college, degree in accounting then went to work for scott cummins (grand son of "scott truck & tractor" in monroe, divorced moved back to the god forsaken lake bistineau for a few months, went on to managing a convience store in bienville,, then last but not least my biggest accomplishment... my husband donald, now deceased, god rest his sole, bought a restaurant, paint & body shop, parts house and mobile home park 4 my wedding present. even though i still own all of that in campti, i bought a 4 bedroom home in bossier after he passed away this ...Expand for more
past year, of cancer, i still go to campti an stay on occasion, so i can keep up with our investments... we have 2 harleys that i still love to ride even though donald isn't on his, he still rides with me, every time i get on my.. we have a motorhome, so i love to travel...
so i guess all in all, i have done pretty good in life.. from the $2.50 per hr. job at the garment factory to owning my own business.. big jump the the little town of ringgold... i always had this saying about ringgold that is "No One Moves to Ringgold, They Are Sentenced there".... but when i do pass through i still remember the old carwash days, green hole, and the tanks, had alot of good friends, there, all in all alot of old but good memories.. miss alot of my friends and think of them often..
