Cindy's Story

Life Tom is the Defensive Back Coach at the New Orleans Saints. We had a great first year, winning our division and playing for the NFC Championship. The Saints had to play the Chicago Bears for a chance to go to the Super Bowl and lost on a snowy, frozen field in Chicago. A trip to coach in the Pro Bowl was the consolation prize. We have 3 children and one grandchild. Our son, Andy, lives in Northern Virginia and is involved in sports thru his Gameday magazine and sports radio show, The Coaches Corner. He is married to Courtney and they have a 2 year old son named Jack. Our oldest daughter, Lindsay, lives in Naples, Florida and is a supervisor of the Ferguson(plumbing, lighting, & appliances) showroom. She loves the beach and enjoys the great weather in Florida. Our youngest, Sarah, is finishing her junior year at Kansas State in Manhattan, KS. and is majoring in English and Sociology. Our oldest 2 kids graduated f...Expand for more
rom Virginia Tech and were just crushed by the tragedy which recently happened there. They love being Hokies! I am getting settled into our house in English Turn in New Orleans and trying to adjust to the humidity, the Creole language spoken here, and the spicy food. The people are great here and are still trying to come back after Katrina and the levees failing. This is a city in transition---changes are being made in the way things are run here and improvements will be slow, but lasting. I still miss the good Iowa meat, corn, and tomatoes(actually we order all of our meat from Henningsens and have it sent to us wherever we live), but I will have to visit to get the corn and tomatoes! Hopefully, when we are there for the reunion, we will get to enjoy some of those. I am excited to see everyone for the reunion. We are having a family reunion the same weekend and a celebration of my mom's 90th birthday. See you all soon.
